Earth in the middle 22nd century, the environment is all but gone and 9 billion people live on in bliss - with their food being created artificially by organoprocessors.
20 year old Michelle Holland arrives from her home on the moon colonies to begin her new life on Earth. Self assured and optimistic she starts her new job and soon meets Matthew Finler, a naive and idealistic technician.
They start a relationship but have a tempestuous time - torn between their love of each other and their very different outlooks on the world.
When Matthew discovers something about the last remaining wilderness area it has the power to make or break their relationship and the future of the world as well, and they resolve to find out the truth together.
